Vaccination Policy Info

Effective immediately, all patrons must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend events at I.M.P. venues.

All ticket holders must show proof of vaccination (along with matching photo ID) before entering our venues. Proof of vaccination can be your physical vaccine card, a photo of your card, or your digital vaccination record using the Bindle app.

Exceptions will only be made for children under 12 who are not yet fully vaccinated, and for those with documented qualifying medical conditions preventing them from becoming vaccinated. For those patrons, a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen laboratory test taken within 48 hours of the show date will be accepted, along with documentation of medical exemption (and matching photo ID). At-home self-tests will not be accepted.

Refunds will not be issued for failure to provide proof of vaccination (or negative test results with documented medical exemption) as described above.

Additionally, while no longer required, we encourage patrons to wear face masks when attending shows. To protect our staff, patrons, and the community, all employees will still be required to wear face masks when working events. Please note: Some shows will still require masks at the request of the performer. Please check the individual event page for updates. An email will also be sent to ticket holders a few days before the event.

Patrons who have a fever or are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 should stay home.

Thank you for helping us return to live events safely!

What proof of full vaccination will you accept?
We will accept your physical vaccination card, a photo of your vaccination card, or your digital vaccination record using the Bindle app. The name on your vaccination record must match the name on your photo ID. Full vaccination means that it’s been at least 14 days since your last shot.

What is Bindle?
Bindle is a smartphone app that converts COVID-19 vaccination records into digital entry passes. Bindle safeguards COVID-19 vaccination records in a secure, blockchain data locker, keeping personal health and identifying information strictly private and anonymous. The Bindle app is safe, secure, and free to use. Bindle is the fastest way to show proof of vaccination when entering our venues. We encourage you to download the app before your next show. For more information, and to download the app, visit

I’ve misplaced my vaccination card. How can I access my vaccination records?
Please use these linked resources for DCMaryland, and Virginia to access your vaccination records.

What type of test result will you accept for those who can’t get vaccinated?
For children under 12 who are not yet vaccinated, and for those who have a medical condition preventing them from being vaccinated, we will accept documented (either printed or digital) medically-administered laboratory-based negative test results from an antigen or PCR test taken within 48 hours before the show. The documentation must include the type of test, the healthcare entity that issued the test, the test date, and the name of the person being tested. At-home self-tests will not be accepted. Individuals with a medical exemption must also provide documentation of that exemption.

Your venues are all ages. Can I still bring my child to a show?
Of course, but they will need to provide proof of vaccination (12 and over) or a negative test result (under 12) if they are not yet vaccinated, as noted above. We understand that children may not have a photo ID.

Will venue staff be following the same guidelines?
All staff working in our venues are required to be fully vaccinated.

PLEASE NOTE: The above is I.M.P.’s policy for 9:30 Club, The Anthem, Lincoln Theatre, and Merriweather Post Pavilion, however, if an artist determines that they would like a stricter policy, we will honor that for individual shows. Please check the individual show page to see if an artist’s policy differs from ours before planning your visit to our venues.
