Prolific songwriter, producer, and artist Powfu (born Isaiah Faber) hails from Mission, a small town outside Vancouver, and has become a defining figure in the global lo-fi hip-hop scene. After years of independently releasing music on YouTube and SoundCloud, he gained worldwide attention with his breakout hit “death bed (coffee for your head).” The track exploded on platforms like TikTok and Spotify, leading to a signing with Columbia/Sony Records and amassing over 5 billion combined streams. His impact on the industry was cemented in 2021 with a JUNO nomination for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and an iHeart Award for Best New Rock/Alternative Rock Artist.
Following successful tours across Europe and North America in 2023 and 2024, Powfu is entering a new era with the launch of The Lofi Library Club. This new music label and community imprint is a creative hub built to support and amplify lo-fi artists worldwide ([Music Connection](https://www.musicconnection.com/studio-mix-march-2026-the-format-laughing-hyenas-julian-lage-and-more/)). To celebrate the label’s debut, he is embarking on The Lofi Library Tour, an intimate live experience showcasing his signature sound alongside performances from other talented artists within the Lofi Library family.
Powfu continues to evolve his sound with current releases like “she want” and “death bed pt. 2,” a poignant continuation of his global smash that serves as “the journal of a dead man’s love story.” The accompanying video for the sequel features his real-life wife, Tashi, and follows the narrative of a husband who passes away before the birth of his child. In his personal life, Powfu and Tashi welcomed their first child in late 2024, a milestone that continues to inform his soulful, intricate, and faith-driven songwriting as he strives to pull listeners out of the darkness through his music ([Wonder Ballroom](https://wonderballroom.com/event/powfu-presents-the-lofi-library-tour/wonder-ballroom/portland-oregon/)).
