Check out Washington DC’s Oh He Dead as they debut songs from their fourth studio album, Vertigo. They will be performing the album one month before its slated release, and will be selling Vertigo vinyls and unreleased merch as a way to say thank you to their DMV fans.

It only takes about ninety seconds in the room to understand why this band is one of DC’s most beloved live acts. Frontwoman CJ Johnson, the “distinctively raspy,” “huge-voiced” singer profiled by the Washington Post, leads a group NIVA named one of the “must-see live performers of 2023.” Across five releases on their own Wally Baba Records, the Blood in the Water EP (2018), Oh He Dead (2019), Pretty (2023), Ugly (2024), and Vertigo (2026), the band has built a catalog that refuses to pick a lane while “reshaping [soul] for the better with every gritty note and groovy riff” (The Daily Trojan).
