Love is rarely as simple as the cards, flowers, and romantic comedies make it look.

For the 19th year, Story District’s Sucker for Love brings true stories about what happens when real people fall for someone, fall out of love, want something they probably shouldn’t, miss their chance, take a chance, get their heart broken, or somehow end up exactly where they never expected.

On stage, storytellers share the funny, messy, awkward, sexy, painful, and surprisingly sweet moments that come with trying to connect with another human being. Expect disastrous dates, questionable decisions, unexpected relationships, breakups, big feelings, bad timing, and the kind of stories you’re very glad happened to somebody else.

These aren’t polished love stories with perfect endings. They’re true stories, told by the people who lived them.

Whether you’re deeply in love, happily single, dating, divorced, somewhere in between, or simply love a great story, Sucker for Love is Story District’s Valentine’s tradition for anyone who knows that real life is always more interesting than the cliché.
