Easy Honey

Easy Honey was born out of the small-town innocent college days: the days of walking home under the starry night and springing under the watchful eye of sunny graveyards, Dairy Queens, and neo-gothic cathedrals.

Selby and Darby, fast friends upon meeting at college in Sewanee, TN, instantly began writing songs in the basements of academic buildings after hours. These songs were inspired by both the beauty of the natural world around them and the coming of age romances experienced during this time.

After adding Charlie Holt to the group, the band honed their live show at college parties and took their batch of songs to record in Nashville. The group has since blossomed, infusing its singer-songwriter folk roots with an original blend of East Coast surf-rock, catalyzed by the band’s relocation to the up and coming Charleston, SC, music scene. The band has sold out multiple shows around the country since beginning touring in 2022.

Easy Honey’s witty melodies dotted with catchy hooks serve as anthems of nostalgia for their indie rock audience of daydreamers and nightseekers. Drawing inspiration from the originality and attitude of The Kinks, The Killers, The Replacements, the band’s raucous, yet sentimental, live show exemplifies the realness that people crave in an internet-driven world. Easy Honey has supported in concert and taken after the spirit of currently popular bands such as flipturn and Sunroom.

Easy Honey is supporting their upcoming album, ‘Cupidity Unlimited’, (to be released on 07/17). the 6 month long tour will include: their ‘Mountain Town Tour’ (15+ shows in Colorado), their second annual ‘Surf Tour’ (a two week run headlining East Coast venues, environmental clean-ups, and surfing Atlantic waves) and finally a full US loop (playing TX, midwestern states, and the North East etc.)  Co-frontmen Darby McGlone (vocals, guitar) and Selby Austin (vocals, guitar) share writing and singing duties, while Charlie Holt (drums, vocals) and Webster Austin (bass, vocals) provide a rhythm section which complements the personified, interwoven electric guitars. When not touring, the band lives in Charleston, SC, leading the way in the rapidly growing music scene… and surfing Folly Beach when home.

Wim Tapley & The Cannons

Based in Athens, Georgia, Wim Tapley came of age playing shows in Washington D.C. where he honed his voice with the passion of a born troubadour.

Since 2021, Wim and his live band The Cannons have called Athens home. His first week in Georgia, he made his way onto a local bill, etching a name for himself as a fresh and favorite hometown voice. He is ardently received by his ever-growing following at legendary venues like Eddie’s Attic and the Georgia Theatre, along with tours across the East Coast.

Firmly rooted in Americana and dashed with catchy pop sensibilities, the swinging depths of neo-soul, and a sprinkling of riotous horns, Wim’s arresting sound is as fresh as it is ageless, as fevered as it is raucous fun. A sonic westward expansion of fuzzed-out guitars, saloon pianos, defiant horns, and dusty vocals, his discography blazes a new take on folk and soul while honoring the songwriting giants that paved the way before him like Jason Isbell, Bill Withers, and Chris Stapleton.

Follow Wim on Spotify and Instagram and never miss out on the musical misadventures of the East Coast’s resident space cowboy.
