Josh Conway is a Los Angeles–based musician, producer, and songwriter, and the co-founder and creative force behind The Marías. As the band’s producer, co-songwriter and drummer, Conway has been instrumental from the project’s inception, helping craft their signature sound; a dreamy, cinematic fusion of psychedelic rock, jazz, and Latin influences that now feels instantly recognizable. His production style: atmospheric, detail-driven, and emotionally immersive, has become a defining touchstone within modern alternative music.
Under Conway’s direction, The Marías have experienced a meteoric rise, amassing over 2 billion streams and releasing two critically acclaimed albums, CINEMA and Submarine. Their momentum includes three Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist at this year’s event, Billboard chart-topping singles and collaborations with global superstars such as Bad Bunny, Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco, and touring with Billie Eilish. Their breakout hits like “No One Noticed,” “Back To Me,” “Sienna”, and “Nobody New” have driven multiple Gold and Platinum certifications, with six songs charting on the Spotify Global 200.
Beyond the band, Conway has steadily built a reputation as a sought-after producer and collaborator, working across genres with both emerging and established artists. Expanding his artistic voice, he is set to release his debut solo album in 2026 via Atlantic Records, offering a further extension of his work as a producer and songwriter and diving into an artistic world of his own.
