Oh He Dead

Washington DC’s Oh He Dead brings their funky, poppy rock vibes wherever they go. Led by CJ Bowlin’ Johnson and her golden pipes, the five-piece group includes lead guitarist Alex Salser, John Daise-on-the-bass (say it outloud), Adam Ashforth on drums, and ViRG on keys.  The close-knit crew is known for their contagious joy, and for putting on a hell of a live show as  Johnson “maneuvers her powerful voice — a combination of Stevie Nicks and Tracy Chapman” (Kojo Nnamdi) in rhythm with the band’s “sublime instrumentation” (NPR) and “infectious and soulful sound” (Washington Post).  Their third album, Ugly is out this spring.

SNACKTIME

SNACKTIME is Philadelphia’s already beloved seven-piece band, blazing a path cut from their soul, funk, punk, rock, jazz, hip-hop, and R&B influences. Created during the height of the pandemic, the group began performing free shows in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square that combined their love of music, food, and togetherness. They quickly amassed huge crowds and became a symbol of positivity and lockdown release, while showcasing the richness of their  city’s musical history and community. This progressed to sold-out headlining shows, plus performances at festivals including Life Is Beautiful (Las Vegas, NV), Sea.Hear.Now (Asbury Park, NJ), Sound on Sound (Bridgeport, CT), and Eric Andre’s 40th Birthday Party (New York City).

2024 began with a triumphant sold out New Year’s Eve headlining show at Brooklyn Bowl Philly, before the band joined Impractical Jokers and Eric Andre’s “ Get Ship Faced” Cruise from Miami to Bahamas and performed six SXSW shows including the Paste Magazine East Austin Block Party, Rolling Stone Funk Factory, South by San Jose, and an official SXSW showcase at Mohawk.

In February 2024, SNACKTIME supported Portugal. The Man on a national tour where they performed as direct support and also joined Portugal. The Man for the majority of their set They’ll be hitting the road once again with Portugal. The Man this July, including a performance at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater. Select dates also include Tegan and Sara. These summer shows are following the band’s biggest New York headlining show to date in June 2024 at Bowery Ballroom. The band plans to tour extensively for the remainder of the year.

SNACKTIME recently finished tracking their studio debut, recorded and produced by GRAMMY-nominated producer Will Yip (Lauryn Hill, Turnstile, Bartees Strange). A 12” single featuring the first two songs from those sessions was released on February 1, 2024. They’ve received early radio support from WFUV (New York, NY), WXPN (Philadelphia, PA), KCSN (Los Angeles, CA), WRLT (Nashville, TN), WERS (Boston, MA), WTMD (Baltimore, MD). KCLC (St. Louis, MO), WERS (Boston, MA), and KJAC (Greeley, CO).

The band’s newest single SPACELUV was released on 06.11.24, with a full EP slated for later in the year.

ViRG

ViRG’ is a synth-based indie rock band from Virginia formed by Piano Whitman. ‘ViRG’ is centered around femininity and freedom while highlighting the whiplash of an unstable lifestyle, guilt, and the devastation of love. Whitman’s commanding voice is reinforced by intricate, lush synthesizers and strong rhythms produced by both drum-machines and acoustic percussion. Fans of both straight ahead indie-pop songwriting or the moody tech excursions of ‘Kid A’ will find something to enjoy in ViRG’s repertoire.
